MARION DONALDSON Maxi DRESS White/Blue/Black
A gorgeous vintage dress by Marion Donaldson of Glasgow - just PERFECT for someone who loves boho style and summery dresses!
The body of the dress is made of a lightweight, white fabric with a paisley style pattern in blue and black. It has a round, slightly scooped neckline. As well as a flattering empire line emphasised by a black velvet strip and bow. Also has a rear concealed zip.
The Marion Donaldson brand has been credited with bringing ‘Swinging London’ to Glasgow, being sometimes referred to as ‘the Scottish Barbara Hulanicki’(Biba).
This dress has a couple of issues. Unfortunately it does have very faint/small marks on the bodice, near the neckline. These have proved to be too faint to show on a photo but are nonetheless there. Also the lower part of the dress has a small line of a possible snag or pull- not very apparent but on the front just above the pattern. The skirt has a small area which may have been burnt- melted appearance, maybe a cigarette, this is on the lower patterned area so not at all apparent. Hence the price for this very pretty designer dress.
No fabric or size label. But probably polyester.
