RETTA DAY 1950s Cocktail DRESS
Cute vintage cocktail dress from La Reine by Retta Day. Shaped sweetheart neckline with pleated straps, ribbed front and back. Fitted to the waist with a brown, velvet tie back belt. The full, lined skirt has plenty of body and shape. The sheer fabric is a floral pattern in yellow, pale teal and white on a brown background. Fully lined. Very pretty!
In very good used condition with no marks, snags or holes. The lining does have some marks but these will clean out.
No visible fabric label but the bottom lining is a stiff cotton, the next yellow shiny (possibly) triacetate, then the top layer is sheer (possibly again) triacetate.
Size label UK 8, measurements confirm.
Measures flat approx.:
pit to pit 16 inches, waist 13.5 inches, shoulder to hem 44 inches
