Hugo Boss
Hugo Boss was founded in 1924 and originally produced general purpose clothing. Boss began to produce and sell Nazi uniforms in the 30s and 40s latterly using forced labour. He died in 1948.
Post war, Hugo Boss moved into fashion and began to produce men’s clothes. By the 1960s they were making ready-made suits and in 1970 Hugo Boss became a registered trade mark. In the same decade the company began sponsoring Formula One driver Niki Lauda, and later the McLaren Racing team.
Hugo Boss continued to grow and introduce womens lines, fragrance and childrens clothing too. They have evolved into a major global fashion house
