Courrèges 26014 Couture Future Wool COAT c.1967 Orange
Gorgeous Andre Courreges wool coat dating back to his first 1967 Couture Future collection. The main features of his ultra-modern, uncluttered look spread quickly throughout the fashion world. This stunning orange/red wool coat is a fantastic example of his futuristic vision.
It has a clean linear shape that gives it an almost austere and military look. However, the designer redressed the balance with his use of a magnificent and lavish splash of orange colour to create a modernist fashion garment. Constructed with a wool material, the single-breasted, lined and fitted coat features a square collar and epaulettes. It has dramatic oversized patch pockets with fold over buttoned tabs and a matching tab on the right breast. Eight buttons fasten the front opening and it also has a neat, button belt made in a synthetic material. Rear vent from waist with 2 buttons.
Model/Style number 26014
98% wool ,2% polyamide
Overall in very good used condition. No snags, holes or tears. Has a small mark on the right cuff. The button and belt also show some signs of wear and the synthetic belt loops have significant wear to them. However these are very minor issues to be expected with a vintage item. A fabulous coat!
No size label, but would fit approx. UK 10-12
Measures approx:
19" pit to pit; 18"cm pit to cuff; 41" neck seam to hem
