Converse

Made in America, Converse footwear has been around for over a century. Originally made as a sports shoe, Converse are distinguished by a number of features, including the company's star insignia, the All Star's rubber sole, smooth rounded toe, and wrap-around strip. A name closely associated with the brand is Chuck Taylor, a basketball player who became the ambassador for the shoe, in 1932 his signature was added to the high-top label. 

Initially Converse became famous when rockers, punks and artists began to identify with the lived-in look of the shoe. We’ve all doodled on the canvas upper and rubber cap, adding to the brand ID as one of individuality, youthful rebellion and being care free. 

Acquired by Nike in 2003 Converse shoes come in many styles and colours, with numerous tongues, skins, and designs- there is a Converse shoe to suit everyone! Worn by celebs worldwide, the pinnacle being David Tennant’s Doctor sporting a pair of red High-Tops while saving the planet!
