Montague Burton the Tailor of Taste Ltd. 

Founded in 1903 this quickly expanding firm had 400 stores, factories and mills by 1929. Post WW2 Burton supplied demob suits: jacket, trousers, waistcoat, shirt and underwear- the full monty. When Montague Burton died in 1952, the company was one of the largest tailoring firms in the world. It merged with various other well known brands 

Burton was the official clothing supplier to the England football teamfor the 1966 World Cup, 1996 Euros and the 2002 World Cup championships. In 1998 the company changed its name to Arcadia, merging with several other companies such as Dorothy Perkins, Debenhams and John Collier.

Burton was saved from going bust by Boohoo.com in 2021.
