1960s Hand- Embroidered Afghan Maxi DRESS
An amazing vintage maxi dress brought back from Afghanistan in the 1960's. A tapestry type fabric creates the front yoke, the dress consists of several different brightly patterned cotton material. The full length skirt gathers under the yoke giving plenty of volume and sway. Long sleeves are wide and edges finished in hand embroidery. This dress was originally made as a wedding dress and has been lovingly looked after by the original owner ever since. Truly great item.
Cotton but no fabric label to confirm.
In excellent vintage condition apart from a couple of snags to the cross stitching on the edgings sleeves, waistband and hem. No marks or holes.
